Come on down! All of you are the next contestants on The Pryce is Right!

There was no question that the theme for this Bar Mitzvah was based on our guest of honor’s name, so we just rolled with it to create a replica of the 1970s game show that is still popular today. The logo was also inspired by that of the infamous show.

Guests were first held in the “green room” where they enjoyed a variety of icees from a specialty food truck until the doors opened. The small guests liked mixing flavors, while the big ones loved adult mixers in theirs. Fun passed appetizers such as pigs in a blanket, pretzels and popcorn made a sweet combination to start the night.

Unfortunately, Bob Barker and Drew Carey were not with us to host. However, Pure Energy’s Joseph and Bryan did an applause worthy job as they took the stage to announce and run the evening’s festivities at Gallery of Amazing Things.

Galaxy Productions understood our vision as always and designed a set that Bob would have been proud of…. the multi-colored draping, the staging and the lights. Tali Table Designs filled in the rest with a custom wrapped dance floor, tables which included the popular daisy icon, as well as the custom designed Big Wheel and Plinko sets. We also were sure to have those famous grocery items on the back bar such as Stove Top Stuffing, Mac-N-Cheese and Crisco, of course!

The game show’s iconic amusement pieces were crowd pleasers as guests tried their luck spinning the wheel, dropping the chip and playing video versions of the classic game on multi-stationed TV units. Throughout the night winners were announced as they won gift cards, toys, and other high end audio prizes.

Although, we did not have bidding, buying and bargaining, we had dining, dancing and drinking.  Potions in Motion gourmet caterers provided a winning menu of items from sushi and sliders to chicken and waffles at all their custom themed stations characteristic of each novelty. The dessert room opened to present an old fashioned bicycle ice cream cart, Jupiter donuts, an outrageous cotton candy station and so much more.

This wasn’t the typical “Showcase Showdown”, everyone came out a winner as the evening concluded with another surprise. Upon exiting the venue, “contestants” were treated to a “Bacon Station”.  No doubt, bacon lovers were in hog heaven as they tasted a variety of the decadent meat. All contestants also got to take home a prize pack of logo pajama bottoms and/or a Florida “Price is Right” Lotto scratch off ticket.

It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game… and that always makes a STYLED event.

All this can be yours, if the Pryce is right… and he was!

MAZEL TOV to Pryce and his family.
