We all know this joyous time of year can actually become quite overwhelming and stressful if not planned properly. Just like any big event, the holidays in your home should be no different. From the guest list to the grocery list, one must prepare for all occasions.
Our favorite thing to set the mood for your event is decor. No matter what region you live in, everyone enjoys the look of fall. We personally love natural elements such as leaves, feathers, pine cones and grains. If you don’t have these beautiful items in your backyard, head to your local craft store and they are easily accessible. While you’re at the grocery store selecting the perfect bird, pick up some gourds and corn husks in the produce department. Place a burlap runner in the center of your table and add candles, lanterns or mason jars for an intimate setting. Also, for a personal touch don’t forget handwritten place cards.
Remember, even if your turkey cooked a little too long and the string bean casserole was soggy and stringy, and Aunt Betty’s Jello mold didn’t go over well, everyone will be raving about your table setting and festive décor. It’s all about the presentation (and family, of course) so no matter how your cooking tastes or what your style is, we want you to have a STYLED EVENT.
Happy healthy holiday!
