This Bat Mitzvah teen and her family wanted to change things up a bit. They wanted a little twist on the traditional formalities of events that usually occur at a mitzvah celebration. We like to keep our clients happy and keep things interesting, so we loved this challenge and did exactly what they asked for. We gathered our dream team of vendors who understood the vision and assisted with making it a reality.
After the beautiful havdalah service, we started with a “very heavy cocktail hour”. This actually was longer than an hour and more of a dinner where guests actually sat down at high top tables and enjoyed a delicious menu by Palm Caterers. While everyone was in culinary bliss, we were behind the scenes transforming the ballroom into an intimate and chic club setting.
We proceeded by draping the room and lighting appropriately. We then brought in a grand bar, modern furnishings and plenty of cocktail tables. No place cards, no large tables set, no floral decor, just a warm atmosphere with the glow of amber and the glitz of gold.
Upon entering the space, guests were in awe that this was a comfortable lounge-like environment where they could kick off their shoes and dance the night away. Ricky and the crew from Rock With U Entertainment made this happen in a big way. The play list was that of a South Beach night club and it was non-stop fun on the dance floor the entire evening.
A smorgasbord of desserts were served and when the party was over, small guests got to take home comfy pjs and sweats. Also, just like leaving any club after hours, an indulgence of fried food is often needed for the ride home. Who says you can’t get Chick-Fil-A on Sunday? These guests most definitely enjoyed their Chick-Fil-A treat.
This was no doubt a celebration after the celebration.
We like to be sure that before, during and after that all our clients have a STYLED event.
