Feeling Lucky are ya? Irish or not, everyone loves celebrating this joyous March holiday. St. Patrick’s Day, also known as The Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration which occurs on March 17th, the date of the death of the patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.

The day recognizes Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. It is customary to wear green to symbolize the shamrock since Saint Patrick used the three-leaved plant to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish. The celebrations involve parades, festivals and lots of food and good cheer.

There’s also the traditional “kissing” element. The reference is to the Blarney Stone at the Blarney Castle which is known as the “Stone of Eloquence”. Kissing this great rock gives one the ability to never be lost for words and since one cannot kiss the stone, kissing an Irish person is the next best thing.

It may be a national holiday in Ireland, but here in the U. S. of A. many enjoy a great party just the same. Expect to see green bagels, green beer and plenty of other green spirits. If you are lucky enough, you may even see a leprechaun and a pot of gold ~ If you keep drinking that green beer.

With some LUCK on the internet, we found some delicious treats to make your St. Patty’s Day more festive and fun.

It’s not easy being green, but we hope we can help you keep it STYLED.
